Missions

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8).”               

Before Jesus’ ascension, He gave Christians the command to be His witnesses in 3 areas.

The first is Jerusalem, our place of comfort & familiarity like our church, home or workplace/school where we have family & friends who still do not know the Savior. The second is Judea & Samaria where it would take a 1st Century Jewish Christian to be more intentional in order to enter. For us, this may be our community or city where without trust in our Lord Jesus Christ, intentionality & obedience, we will never enter. Lastly, Jesus calls us to be witnesses in other parts of the world.

To better serve our Tampa community, our church supports & serves Metropolitan Ministries (www.metromin.org), and Florida United Methodist Children’s Home (www.fumch.org). 

Every year, we send a mission team to other parts of the world to witness & participate in what God is doing globally.  We have sent teams to Honduras in 2007, 2008 & 2011, to Peru in 2009 & 2010 and to Philippines in 2012, 2013 & 2014 to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.  They all have been life-changing experiences that brought us to our knees in worship.  This year, along with the Philippines mission trip, we are also sending teams to Hopi reservation in AZ & Dominican Republic.  Please check out the video presentations of our trips to witness how great our God is.
